Scott Richman is the Founder, Managing Member and Chief Investment Officer of Whitehaven Asset Management. Prior to founding Whitehaven, Mr. Richman was Head of Municipal Investments at Gracie Asset Management, a credit opportunities hedge fund that had ~$2 billion under management at the time of his departure. He founded the municipal business at Gracie where his duties included portfolio management, credit research, trade execution, meeting with investors and issuers, and managing sell-side relationships. Before joining Gracie, Mr. Richman worked at Lehman Brothers where he was a proprietary trader on a ~$2 billion municipal and interest rate products portfolio. Mr. Richman graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in economics and a concentration in finance along with a minor in political science.
Paul Ferrarese is a Senior Partner at Whitehaven where he leads business development, oversees investor relations, and participates in the investment process. Prior to joining Whitehaven, Mr. Ferrarese was a Managing Director and Head of Municipal Institutional Sales for Goldman Sachs where he was a member of the credit sales operating committee, the municipal securities risk committee, and was charged with managing the firms relationships with institutional investors. Before joining Goldman, Mr. Ferrarese was co-head of Merrill Lynchs Institutional Municipal Derivative Sales desk and spent 13 years within Citigroups Municipal Securities Division in various institutional sales roles ultimately serving as a Managing Director. Mr. Ferrarese earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management and a B.S. from Tufts University.
Jamie Brooke Forseth is a Partner and Senior Investment Professional at Whitehaven where she is the Head of Municipal Credit Research. Prior to Whitehaven, Ms. Forseth was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs where she was Chief Credit Strategist on the municipal trading desk covering a spectrum of high grade to distressed municipal names in addition to select corporate issuers. Previously, Ms. Forseth served as the Ambassadors personal Chief of Staff at the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki and as a special advisor on the personal staff of the CEO and Chairman of Intel Corporation. Ms. Forseth graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with four bachelors degrees in political science, integrated Polish studies, English literature and violin performance as well as a Masters in political theory. She also holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
Towny Swiggett is a Partner and Senior Investment Professional at Whitehaven Asset Management where his responsibilities include trade execution, sell-side interaction, portfolio construction and idea generation. Prior to joining Whitehaven, Mr. Swiggett was a Vice President in institutional municipal trading at Barclays where he held primary trading responsibilities in a variety of areas within the high grade, high yield, and distressed municipal markets. Mr. Swiggett graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a major in economics modified with biology.
Murat Kemahlioglu is a Partner and Senior Investment Professional at Whitehaven Asset Management. His responsibilities include trade execution, sell-side interaction, portfolio construction and idea generation. Prior to joining Whitehaven, Mr. Kemahlioglu headed a municipal trading desk at Citigroup and managed a team of quantitative analysts and traders. His duties included market making and risk responsibility for cash positions, municipal-specific forward contracts and credit default swaps. During his tenure at Citigroup, Mr. Kemahlioglus trading responsibilities extended to high grade and high yield municipal bonds, interest rates, and equity derivatives. Mr. Kemahlioglu graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with bachelors degrees in mathematics and economics.
Frank Rizzaro is an Investment Professional at Whitehaven Asset Management where he conducts credit analysis and actively participates in the investment process. Prior to joining Whitehaven, Mr. Rizzaro was an Associate at Fore Research & Management, where he was responsible for identifying and analyzing distressed, HY, and IG opportunities at all levels of the capital structure. Before joining Fore, Mr. Rizzaro worked at Barclays as an analyst within the investment bank on the Restructuring & Finance team. Mr. Rizzaro graduated with a B.S. from the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University.
Vincent Marchisella is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Whitehaven Asset Management. Prior to joining Whitehaven, Mr. Marchisella was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for over nine years at Wesley Capital Management, LLC, a long/short real estate focused hedge fund that reached $1.6 billion at its peak and invested in equities, fixed income and OTC derivatives. Prior to joining Wesley, Mr. Marchisella held positions for three years as Chief Financial Officer at Archery Capital, LLC, a New York based fund of hedge funds, and for five years as a Manager in the Financial Services Group of the audit department of Goldstein Golub Kessler & Co, LLP, a New York based public accounting firm. Mr. Marchisella graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York with a B.A. in accounting and information system. Mr. Marchisella is a CPA certified by the State of New York.
